Carbon Canisters

Attwood’s patent pending Carbon Canisters are designed and constructed using the highest grade materials including marine grade carbon and low-permeation plastics for the housing. They are designed to withstand the harsh conditions found in the most extreme marine environments. They are capable of withstanding severe hull torque, vibration and “shock-loads” and will last for the lifetime of the vessel. Our robotically welded canisters are manufactured to ensure that 100% of Attwood’s Carbon Canisters are properly sealed 100% of the time and will withstand the most severe abuse.

Attwood’s Carbon Canisters are the only canisters that meet ABYC’s proposed self-draining requirement due to the unique orientation of the canister ports. Additionally, the mounting tab allows for the canisters orientation to be reversed easing installation.
The low-permeation canisters help your vessel reduce the diurnal emissions associate with daily temperature cycles but also eliminates the permeation of hydrocarbons thru the shell of the canister helping to ensure that your vessel is in compliance with the permeation limits set forth by CARB and the EPA. Attwood’s Carbon Canister is the only canister available that reduces both of these sources of hydrocarbon pollution.

Our canisters are designed using patented technology to ensure that carbon particles cannot break down and reach your fuel system protecting the life of your engine. They are also proudly made in the USA and are warranted for five years from the date of purchase.
